Level 5 Qualifications

Get a UK Government Recognised Qualification from the ISM Education. Our Qualifications are written by experts and are designed to equip you with knowledge and understanding of theories for a number of roles. They are all recognised by Ofqual, the UK examinations regulator.

​​You can start at Level 5 if you meet any of these criteria:

You are a practicing manager.
​Your role requires you to manage other people and/or resources
You want to develop knowledge, understanding and skills in a subject.
You want a qualification at a level equivalent to a Higher National Diploma or foundation degree
You want to be assessed on your ability to identify and use relevant understanding, methods and skills to address broadly-defined complex problems, taking responsibility for planning and developing courses of action and exercising autonomy and judgement within broad parameters.

Qualification Overview

There are 8 ISM qualifications available at this level: 7 single-unit Awards and 1 composite-unit Certificate. There is no Diploma at this level. Units can be built up over time to contribute to the Certificate. The qualification titles given below are the titles as they will appear on the certificate when awarded to the learner. The qualification reference number is the number allocated to the qualification by Ofqual. Each unit also has a unique Ofqual unit reference number which can be found within the content of each unit in this syllabus.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR QUALIFICATION APPROVAL FOR MY CENTRE?
Requests for approval for qualifications are managed via an application form. Please download here. Once complete, please return this application by post or electronically (with an electronic signature) to ISME Limited using an authorised email address.

How do I provide feedback or make a complaint?
If you have a complaint or feedback about our service, please contact us in order that we can investigate this using our complaints and feedback procedure. When making contact, please give us the following information if you have it:

– what the complaint or feedback is about;

– your full name and learner reference number (if you have one);

– your college, centre or training provider’s name and the ISM Education approval reference number;

– the qualification or unit title and qualification reference number;

– copies of any relevant supporting documents.

We promise to:

– acknowledge receipt of your complaint within two working days of receiving it;

– give you a full response within 30 working days. If this is not possible, we will let you know after 15 working days.

How do I appeal?
It is our aim to treat each case fairly and consistently. However, if you disagree with a decision we have made regarding your candidate’s examination result, you can appeal against it. Please visit our Appeals Policy for more information.
Using a ism education logo
Using the ISM Education Approved Centre logo boosts your profile and we would encourage active approved centres to seek permission to use it, for example on stationery, promotional material, prospectuses, signage and exhibition stands as well as in press adverts in order to promote courses leading to ISM Education qualifications. There are certain rules and conditions attached to its use. In order to get permission to use the ISM Education Approved Centre logo, please contact us on admin@ismeducation.com. A centre shall not use any other form of our logo without our prior written consent.
